Video delivery · for videographers

Deliver the film where the photos are.

Most deliveries end with two links: a gallery for the photos and a file transfer for the film. Put the cut in the gallery instead. Your client streams it up to 4K on a phone or a TV, leaves notes at the exact second, and downloads it when they want it.

01 · Watching

A film is watched, so give it a screen.

The video streams adaptively: on a fast line it climbs to 4K, on mobile data it keeps playing. The player has a quality menu, full screen, picture in picture and previews when you scrub. Three gallery styles are built around film and laid out in chapters, and the photos can sit right next to it.

  • Adaptive streaming up to 4K
  • Three film-first gallery styles
  • Photos and video in one gallery

02 · Reviewing the cut

«00:15 — cut this», not «near the start».

Send the first cut in a proofing gallery. Your client pauses on the frame, presses «Comment here», and the note is saved with its timecode. You read the list in order, jump straight to each moment, and export it with the file names when it is time to edit.

  • Comments saved with the timecode
  • One email when the review is sent
  • The client approves the final cut in the same place

03 · Uploading and minutes

Up to 2 GB a file, in hours per plan.

Videos upload straight from the browser and pick up where they left off if the connection drops: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and M4V, up to 2 GB each. Each plan includes a number of video minutes, checked before the upload starts. The poster frame is picked automatically from the film.

The free account has no video. Storage for photos is counted in GB, separately.

04 · Downloads and privacy

What the client takes home.

Each video downloads from the player as an MP4 at the resolution of the file you uploaded. It is a delivery file, not your original master, and it is not inside the photo ZIP. Downloads follow the gallery: published, not expired, behind the password if you set one.

Who can watch, and where it lives.

New uploads play through signed links that expire within hours, so a copied stream address stops working once it expires. Video is stored and streamed by Mux, in the USA; photos and the database stay in the EU. Playback statistics are collected only if the viewer accepts the monitoring cookies.

FAQ

Video delivery, answered.

Can my client download the film?
Yes, from the player, one video at a time, as an MP4 at the resolution of the file you uploaded. Videos are not in the photo ZIP. The file they get is an MP4 encoded for delivery, not your original master: if the client needs the master, send it separately.
Which files can I upload?
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and M4V, up to 2 GB per file. Uploads go straight from your browser to the video service and resume if the connection drops. Tip: upload from a computer. An iPhone hands over a video picked from the Photos library already re-compressed.
How many minutes do I get?
30 minutes on the single gallery, then 2, 4, 6 and 30 hours on Basic, Plus, Pro and Studio. The check happens before the upload starts, so a film that doesn’t fit is stopped at the start, not halfway.
Will it play on a phone or a TV?
Yes. The stream adapts to the connection, from mobile data up to 4K on a fast line, and the viewer can pick the quality, go full screen or use picture in picture.
Where are the videos stored?
Video is stored and streamed by Mux, in the USA; photos and the database stay in the EU. Every provider is listed in our privacy policy. The player’s playback statistics are collected only if the viewer accepts the monitoring cookies.
Can photos and video share one gallery?
Yes. A gallery can hold photos, videos or both, and you upload them in the same batch. Proofing works on both: on a video the comment carries its timecode.
