Feedback on the photo, not in an email thread.
Your client circles what isn’t right, pins a note to that exact spot, approves the keepers and sends it all back at once. On a video the note carries the second it refers to. You get one email, and a list you can paste straight into Lightroom or Capture One.
«This one, here» — not «the third one, I think».
The usual round goes through screenshots, numbered lists and a phone call to work out which photo they meant. In a proofing gallery the client opens the photo, draws on it with a pen, and pins the comment to the spot it is about. A photo they like gets «Approve for delivery». Anything still unclear stays attached to the frame, not lost in a thread.
- Freehand drawing, six colours, three line widths
- Comments pinned to the exact spot
- «Approve for delivery» on every keeper, no limit on how many
The note knows which second it is about.
For a film cut the client scrubs to the moment, pauses on the frame and presses «Comment here». The timecode is saved with the comment, so you read «00:15 — cut this» instead of «somewhere near the start», and you can jump straight to it. The same gallery can hold the photos and the film.
- Comments saved with the timecode
- Photos, videos or both in one proofing gallery
- Adaptive streaming, so the cut plays on a phone too
One email, and the list for your catalogue.
When the client is done, they send the review in one go. With comments it goes back as «Send review for changes»; with none, as «Confirm for delivery». You get an email, the request appears in your dashboard with a badge, and the review page shows every comment and drawing, video notes listed by timecode.
Then export it. The file names come without the extension, so pasted into Lightroom Classic or Capture One they select your RAW files, not the JPEGs the client saw.
- An email the moment the review is sent
- Filters: approved, commented, all
- Export ready for Lightroom Classic and Capture One

Choosing, not taking home.
A proofing gallery has no download button. The client sees 2,560-pixel working copies, with your studio logo on them if you switch it on, and your originals stay with you. When the selection is settled you deliver the finished photos in a delivery gallery: a separate gallery, with downloads, sharing and your brand.
