CompareShootProof alternative

A ShootProof alternative that does not count your photographs.

ShootProof is a solid, long-running business: white-label galleries even on the free plan, commission-free sales on every tier, contracts and invoicing built in. What sends photographers looking elsewhere is usually not the product — it is the unit the plans are measured in.

Why photographers switch to Galerist

Nobody counts your photographs

Our limit is storage, not frames. A 1,200-shot wedding is a normal delivery here, not most of an annual allowance — and no plan ever limits how many galleries you keep.

Keeping old work costs nothing

Old galleries sit inside the storage you already pay for. There is no second monthly line for archiving what you have already delivered.

4K included, €9.99 way in

Adaptive streaming up to true 4K on every paid tier, stated plainly. And you can deliver a single gallery for €9.99 without subscribing at all.

Where ShootProof stops fitting

01

The ceiling is a number of photographs

Their plans are sold by photo count: 100, 1,500, 5,000, 25,000, then unlimited. A wedding delivered at full resolution is commonly 800 to 1,200 frames. That makes the 1,500 plan roughly one wedding a year, and the 5,000 plan ($16.67/month billed annually) roughly four. Shooting more does not just cost more storage — it moves you up a ladder.

02

Keeping older work costs extra

The plan table lists “Securely store extra photos: Archive starting at $2.99/mo” on every plan except Unlimited, where archiving is included. It is not a large sum. It is, though, a second monthly line for the simple act of not deleting last year’s weddings.

03

Video is off the entry plan entirely

High-quality video storage shows a cross on the Free plan and a checkmark from the 1,500 plan up. No resolution is stated anywhere in the table, so what “high-quality” means for a 4K film is a question you get to ask support rather than read on the page.

04

The add-ons are where the price settles

Online client booking is listed at $4.99 a month on top, across plans. Invoicing, e-sign contracts and multi-brand are absent from the free plan. None of this is hidden — it is all printed — but the number you first see is rarely the number you end up paying.

Who should stay on ShootProof

ShootProof does two things better than we do and it is worth saying plainly. Their galleries are white-label from the free plan up — no ShootProof logo on your client’s page — while every Galerist plan carries a small “made with Galerist” line. And their sales side is commission-free on every tier, including free, which is unusually fair in this category. If you sell prints, send contracts and invoice from the same place, staying put is a reasonable decision. Galerist is the better fit when your ceiling keeps being the number of photographs you took.

Frequently asked

Does Galerist limit how many photos I can upload?

Not by count. The limit is storage: 8 GB on the €9.99 one-time gallery (up to 500 photos in that specific product), then 150 GB, 400 GB, 1 TB and 5 TB on the subscriptions. The number of galleries is never limited on any plan.

Do I pay extra to keep old galleries?

No. Older galleries count against the same storage figure you already pay for; there is no separate archive fee. Published galleries go offline after their window unless renewed, but the files are not held hostage behind a second subscription.

Does Galerist white-label galleries completely?

Not completely, and we would rather say so. Your logo, colours and subdomain are yours on every plan, but a discreet “made with Galerist” line sits in the footer. If a totally unbranded page is a requirement, ShootProof does that on all their plans.

Can I send contracts and invoices from Galerist?

No. There is no CRM, no contracts and no invoicing — the product is delivery. If you want those in one subscription, ShootProof genuinely covers more ground than we do.
